Abstract:
A speed reduction mechanism control system (10) controls the switching of a speed reduction ratio in a speed reduction mechanism (1) including a planetary gear mechanism provided for a servo motor M, and comprises a clutch (2) that switches the speed reduction ratio, a switching timing detection unit (8) that detects the timing of the speed reduction ratio switching on the basis of rotation angle information about the servo motor (M), and a clutch driving unit (9) that drives the switching in the clutch (2) on the basis of the timing of the speed reduction ratio switchover specified by the switching timing detection unit (8). The clutch (2) comprises: fixed teeth (6, 7) which are fixed to different speed-switching target gears, respectively, in the speed reduction mechanism (1); and switching teeth (3), in which the switching teeth (3) have teeth structures (4, 5) for meshing with the fixed teeth (6, 7), respectively, and are formed so as to switch the meshing between the fixed teeth (6, 7).
