Abstract:
A speed shift device (10) having a shift shaft (25), a clutch mechanism (15), a plurality of gears (A-D, a-d), sliders (31, 32), a shift drum (50), and a selector (pins (45, 46) and shift forks (47, 48)). The clutch is disengaged by the shaft shift (25) rotating in the shift-up direction (GU) from the engaged state of the clutch mechanism (15). The shift drum (50) rotates by the shift shaft (25) being rotated further in the shift-up direction (GU). The selector is separately configured from the gears (A-D, a-d) and is moved in the axial direction of a countershaft (22) in accordance with the rotation of the shift drum (50). The sliders (31, 32) move in the axial direction of the countershaft (22) and the dog unit of the sliders (31, 32) meshes with the dog unit of any of the gears (a-d). The rotation of the main shaft (21) is thereby transmitted to the countershaft (22).
