Abstract:
A first vibration detector (110A) detects a first vibration (W10) propagating through a structure (e.g., a pipe (900)). A second vibration detector (110B) detects a second vibration (W20) propagating through the structure. A rising time difference calculation unit (121) calculates a rising time difference (∆t) that is the difference between a first rising time (ta) at which the first vibration (W10) rises and a second rising time (tb) at which the second vibration (W20) rises. A correlation function calculation unit (122) calculates a correlation function for the first vibration (W10) and the second vibration (W20). A speed-of-sound calculation unit (123) calculates the speed of sound (c) for the structure on the basis of the correlation function, the rising time difference (∆t), and the distance (D) between the first vibration detector (110A) and second vibration detector (110B). As a result, the speed of sound of a structure (e.g., a pipe (900)) can be more accurately calculated.
