Abstract:

A speed-up device for a wind-driven generator, having a reduced slip at a bearing achieved at low cost. A support mechanism for a rotating shaft is also provided. A speed-up device (10) for a wind-driven generator, used to increase the rotational speed of an impeller, wherein a rotating shaft (19) of a gear (18) to which rotation of the impeller is transmitted is rotatably supported through a first bearing (20) and a second bearing (21), the first bearing (20) being provided with a preload applying member for partially pressing from the outside the first bearing (20) to increase contact pressure between an outer ring (22) supported by a casing of the speed-up device (10), an inner ring (23) mounted to the rotating shaft (19), and rollers (24) mounted between the outer ring (22) and the inner ring (23).
