Title:
SPEED VARIATOR
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2003/069191
Kind Code:
A2
Abstract:
This invention deals with a speed variator used to modify the rotative motion ratio, to revers the sense of rotation on engines of vehicles or machines. The speed variator, according to the invention is made of an differential gear (1) and of a regulating system, which comprises a hydraulic or pneumatic pump(2) which backwaters the working fluid through a distributor( 3) and two throttles (4) to two hydraulic engines (5), the two throttles being interconnected, so that, the sum of the flows equals the flow of the fluid, backwatered by the pump; and the hydraulic engines (5), having their speed variation adjustable through the throttles (4), drive the differential gear (1) whose exit speed variation is adjustable by use of the throttles (4); in case the exit axle shaft's speed variation is null, by driving the distributor (3), the sense of rotation on the two hydraulic engines (5) may be reversed.

Description:
Speed Variator This invention deals with a speed variator used to modify the rotative motion ratio, to revers the sense of rotation and to ease to zero the speed on engines of vehicles or machines.

There are known autonomous gear boxes, used to transfer the rotative motion from an uniform rotative speed source to a variable rotative speed equipment (Patent RO 111127), which accomplish a continuous variation of the rotative speed, depending on the moment of resistence for the equipment.

There are known power-operated speed variators, which use worm and wheel (gears) built to obtain certain transmission ratios. (Patent RO 109893).

The disadvantage of such structures is that the transmission ratios accomplished are sometimes shiftless, so that the reverse of the rotative sense and the rotative speed ease to zero can not be carried out.

The technical problem the present invention solves, is to create a speed variator which enables the range of adjustment for the rotative speed ratio to be extended, the rotative sense to be reversed, and the rotative speed to be eased to zero.

The speed variator, according to the invention is characterized through: it is made of an usual differential gear and of a regulating system, which comprises a hydraulic or pneumatic pump, a distributor and two throttles, having their rosettes fixed end to end and interlocked, which permit the rotative speed to be set, and when the rotative speed on the exit axle shaft is null (zero), by means of driving the distributor the hydraulic engines'rotative sense is reversed, the hydraulic engines activate the enter axle, respectively one of the two exit axle shafts, the other exit axle is shifted to the variable rotative speed equipment, which is determined by the range of use.

The speed variator, according to the invention is characterized through: it is made of a regulating system and an usual differential gear, it being driven by a hydraulic or pneumatic pump, which backwaters the working fluid through a throttle, the flow regulation of the working fluid is done by driving the throttle, with a regulative effect on the speed of the engine connected to the control axis of the differential, the speed ratio is obtained through engine speed and adjustable speed of the pump.

The speed variator, according to the invention, has the following advantages: - easy construction - high reliability - smooth operation - extensive range of adjustment ensures the necessary conditions for the preservation of nature and of the environment.

This is the detailed description of the object of the invention, connected to figures 1... 3, which represent: - Figure 1, skeleton (gear-train) diagram in a first stage of the invention - Figure 2, skeleton (gear-train) diagram in a second stage of the invention - Figure 3, skeleton (gear-train) diagram in a third stage of the invention.

The speed variator, according to the invention is made of a differential gear 1 and a regulating system, which consists of a pump 2, which backwaters the working fluid to the distributor 3, this playing a role of directing the direction of the working fluid, through throttles 4, to the hydraulic engines 5, their speed being adjusted through throttles 4, with the purpose of adjusting the speed and reversing the rotation sense of the engines; the two throttles'rosettes are fixed end to end and interlocked through a shared controler, which drives and controls the working fluid's flow, so that there exists the possibility of backing the flow for one of the throttles 4, and, simultaneously, of increasing the flow for the other throttle 4, the sum of the flows equalling the flow of the fluid, backwatered by the pump; this way, the speed is adjusted for both engines 5, which transmit the already adjusted rotative motion to the I enter axle shaft 1 and to the II exit axle shaft 1, the adjusted speed being acomplished.

The speed variator, according to the invention, the second version, is made of a differential gear 1 and a regulating system, consisting of a pump 2 and a throttle 4, directly operated on the I enter axle shaft; the speed ratio is determined by a regulating system, consisting of pump 2 and throttle 4, the flow regulation for the working fluid is made by driving the rosette of the throttle 4, backing or increasing the flow, the speed for the axle on the pump 2 becomes higher or slower, which leads to regulation of the speed for the command axle shaft.

The speed variator, according to the invention, the third version, is made of a differential gear 1, directly driven on the enter axle, the command for the differential I is done by a pneumatic regulating system, consisting of pump 2 and a check stop valve 6, when adjusting the valve, the flow backwatered by pump 2 increses or decreases, this way the speed on pump 2 is adjusted.
