Abstract:

A sphygmomanometer device having an automatic cuff wrapping mechanism, enabling quick measurement of blood pressure. The sphygmomanometer device (1A) has an upper arm insertion section (5) having a cuff with a hollow section (5a) into which an upper arm (220) of a subject is axially inserted and also having an upper-arm-insertion-section casing (6) on the inner peripheral surface of which the cuff is placed. The cuff has an upper arm compressing air bag (13) to be wrapped around the upper arm (220), a curler (10) located outside the air bag (13) and formed in a substantially circular tube shape so as to be radially elastically deformable, and a curler compressing air bag (8) for reducing the curler (10) in diameter to press and wrap the upper arm compressing air bag (13) around the upper arm (220). The hollow section (5a) is formed such that, when the upper arm compressing air bag (8) is not wrapped around the upper arm (220), the closer to an exit-side opening (5a2) from an entrance-side opening (5a1), the gradually smaller the opening area of the hollow section (5a).
