Abstract:
Disclosed are a structure and an operating method for a spin synapse device using magnetic domain wall movement by means of spin orbit torque. Magnetization reversal of a free layer of the device is enabled by means of a current having a low value by using spin orbit torque, and the structure of the device is simple compared with a conventional CMOS, and thus manufacturing is simple. In addition, disclosed is a spin synapse device to which a free layer of multi-axial anisotropy, in addition to the movement of a magnetic domain wall, is applied. Therefore, since the magnitude of resistance can be adjusted according to the size of an angle between a fixed layer and a free layer, multi-bit application is simple and application to an artificial synapse technology is possible.
