Abstract:
Disclosed is a spin wave device which can be integrated in an LSI chip and has high design freedom for frequency characteristics. The spin wave device is provided with one input interconnect for transmitting input impulse signals, a multilayer film including an underlayer, a first magnetic layer which is provided on the multilayer film and receives the input impulse signals to thereby create spin waves and propagate the spin waves, a plurality of input electrodes which are disposed in a line on the first magnetic layer, connected to the input interconnect, and transmit the input impulse signals to the first magnetic layer, and a plurality of detection electrodes which detect the spin waves propagated in the first magnetic layer and are each provided on the first magnetic layer so that the distance from the line in which the plurality of input electrodes are disposed is different for each. If the number of detection electrodes is n (where n≥2), the distance of the i-th (where n≥i≥1) detection electrode from the line is Li, the group velocity of the spin waves is Vg, and the pulse period of the input impulse signals is t0, the distance d between an adjacent i-th (where n-1≥i≥1) detection electrode and an i+1-th detection electrode at a direction perpendicular to the line is expressed as d=Vg×t0.
