Abstract:
A spindle for transmitting rotational driving force to a rolling roll comprises: a female coupling part having on one end side an engaging recess that can receive an engaging protrusion of a male coupling part; and a rotary joint that is provided on the other end side of the female coupling part, and that includes an annular rotating part configured to rotate together with the female coupling part and an annular stationary part positioned on the outer peripheral side of the annular rotating part. The female coupling part includes on said one end side a pair of projecting parts having facing surfaces defining the engaging recess, the female coupling part has a plurality of oil supply channels for supplying oil to the engaging recess, and the rotary joint has a plurality of annular oil channels that each communicate with any of the plurality of oil supply channels. The plurality of oil supply channels includes at least one oil supply channel corresponding to each of four areas resulting from the engaging recess being divided by a center line between the pair of facing surfaces and a straight line orthogonal to the center line in a cross section orthogonal to the axial direction of the spindle. Said at least one oil supply channel provided corresponding to one of the four areas communicates with an annular oil channel that, among the plurality of annular oil channels, is not the annular oil channel that communicates with said at least one oil supply channel corresponding to an area adjacent to said one area of the four areas.
