Abstract:
Disclosed is a spindle unit (1) having an inclined shaft that revolves a spindle head (4) at an incline in a manner such that the position of a main shaft (5) changes, wherein the spindle unit is characterized by being equipped with: the spindle head (4) rotatably supporting the main shaft (5), in which a tool (6a) is mounted on the end thereof; a spindle head support (17) that has a pair of mutually separated sidewalls (20, 21) and supports the spindle head (4) between the sidewalls (20, 21) in a manner rotatable at an incline; two power transmitting mechanisms that are disposed along the sidewalls (20, 21) of the spindle head support (17) and each transmit a rotation driving force to the inclined shaft; and two driving source devices (7, 8) for the inclined shaft that are disposed between the sidewalls (20, 21), in which each output shaft (15a, 15b) thereof is disposed in a manner pointing to one from the pair of sidewalls (20, 21) and is connected to one of the power transmitting mechanisms.
