Abstract:
As a dye for photoelectric conversion elements, which has excellent photoelectric conversion characteristics, at least one compound represented by general formula (1) and having a spirobifluorene skeleton is used.
(In formula (1), each of R1 and R2 independently represents a hydrogen atom, a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group or alkoxy group, a hydroxy group or a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group; Z represents a linking group of a π-conjugated system; and X represents an organic group having an acidic group.)
