Abstract:

Disclosed is a novel spiroquinone derivative having high ABCA1 stabilization effect, which is useful as an agent for prevention and/or treatment of various diseases accompanied by hypoHDLemia. Specifically disclosed is a compound represented by the formula below or a pharmacologically acceptable salt thereof. [chemical formula 1] (In the formula, R1a-R1d respectively represent a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, an optionally substituted alkyl group or an optionally substituted alkoxy group; and R2a and R2b respectively represent a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group which may have a substituent (such as a carboxyl group, an alkoxycarbonyl group, a carbamoyl group or an N-substituted carbamoyl group), or R2a and R2b may combine together and form a hydrocarbon ring together with an adjacent carbon atom. In this connection, R2a and R2b are not hydrogen atoms at the same time, or R2a and R2b are not methyl groups at the same time.)
