Abstract:
This splicing device is provided with: a carrier tape transfer device that transfers first and second carrier tapes in the directions in which the carrier tapes become close to each other; a cutting device that performs a cutting process wherein a first cutting area of the first carrier tape, and a second cutting area of the second carrier tape are cut; a tape adhering device that adheres a splicing tape to the first and second carrier tapes aligned with respect to a splicing position by means of the carrier tape transfer device; and a cutting area setting unit that sets the first cutting area such that a first tape end is kept by not being cut down in the cutting process.
