Abstract:
Generally, in a spool valve having a drain opening in only one circumferential side of a hollow part slidably supporting a spool, great side force on a land is caused by oil pressure leaking in between the land and a hollow part. With a land (2a) closing off a drain opening (7a), annular concave grooves (15a, 15b) are formed so as to cut across the drain opening (7a) in the peripheral surface of the land (2a). Oil pressure leaked in between the land (2a) and a hollow part (3a) is thereby released through the concave grooves (15a, 15b) out of the drain opening (7a), and side force is avoided.
