Abstract:

This spot notification device (100) is equipped with: a viewing history acquisition unit (102) which obtains a program-viewing history of a user; a program metadata acquisition unit (101) which obtains program metadata including information on the names and locations of spots introduced in the programs; a spot list generation unit (103) which generates a spot list, which includes the information on the names and locations of the spots introduced in the programs viewed by the user, on the basis of the obtained viewing history and program metadata; a current location acquisition unit (104) which obtains a current position of the user; an activity history holding unit (105) which holds the obtained current positions in a chronological order as an activity history; a notifying spot determination unit (106) which, upon determining a range of search in accordance with the activity history, refers to the spot list and searches for spots which are present within the determined search range; and a spot notification unit (107) which notifies the user of information pertaining to the retrieved spots.
