Abstract:
A fibre web (4) is transported by belts (2, 5) passing around rollers. Some of said rollers are supported by a feed carriage (10) and a discharge carriage which are reciprocatingly movable over a bed (8) which moves parallel to the roller axes and receives the web (4) as a mat (6). Means (34) are provided to define for the web (4), on a first conveyor belt (2) and upstream of a nip line defined by two adjacent rollers (35, 61), a section (22) inclined towards the nip line. The nip roller (35) associated with the first belt (2) causes said belt to make a turn of an angle (B) comprised between 90� and 180�. The nip line is situated in an angular position intermediate between the begining and the end of said turn. Application in the manufacture of nonwovens.
