Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a sputum device which can safely and automatically suction sputum.
[Solution] The sputum device according to one embodiment of the present invention is provided with a suction line, a switching unit, a measurement unit, and a control unit. The suction line has: a suction opening which can suction sputum produced in the respiratory tract of a patient; and a receiving unit which receives the suctioned sputum and which is maintained at negative pressure. The switching unit can be switched between a first state in which the suction opening and the receiving unit are connected and a second state in which the connection between the suction opening and the receiving unit is blocked, and the switching unit is disposed in the suction line. The measurement unit measures exhaled breath air sucked in the first state into the receiving unit. The control unit can switch the switching unit from the second state to the first state when the patient exhales, and the control unit can maintain the switching unit at the first state when the amount of the exhaled breath air measured by the measurement unit is less than a predetermined value.
