Abstract:
It has heretofore been impossible to wash a foldable mattress as a whole with water using a home washing machine, even when it comes to raise much dust or gets dirty. The present invention provides a relatively compact home washing machine capable of washing large damageable articles such as a foldable mattress without any damage thereto. The foldable mattress is folded in the widthwise direction thereof and placed along the inner periphery of a drum (2) having an opening at its upper portion while it is not folded in the longitudinal direction thereof, and another drum (1) is pushed against the inner periphery of the drum (2) with elastic force. Since the gears provided at the lower parts of these drums (1) and (2) mesh with one another, the drums rotate at the same speed and the foldable mattress can be squeezed repeatedly.
