Abstract:
In a squib having an SCB chip connected with an electrode pin and ignited by external
energizing, and a capacitor connected with that electrode pin electrically
in parallel with a thin film resistor on the SCB chip, the capacitor is mounted
on the header, the SCB chip is mounted directly on the capacitor, the thin film
resistor and the capacitor on the SCB chip are connected electrically through
an electrode provided on the substrate of the SCB chip, and the size of the SCB chip
is made smaller than that of the capacitor. Consequently, in the squib, irregularities
on the surface are advantageously eliminated when the capacitor is installed,
connection of the SCB chip and the capacitor with the electrode pin can be made
by a single reflow processing, and an SCB chip smaller than a conventional one
can be used.
