Abstract:
The present invention relates to the field of biomedical materials, and provides a Sr- and/or Mg-doped amorphous apatite material and crystalline apatite material. Ca(NO3)2, Mg(NO3)2, Sr(NO3)2, (NH4)2HPO4, and ammonia are raw materials for fast preparation of an amorphous apatite material doped with Sr or Mg in different concentrations, and the amorphous apatite material is then thermally treated to be converted into a nanosized calcium-deficient hydroxyapatite or nanosized tricalcium phosphate material doped with Sr or Mg in different concentrations. Compared with the conventional crystalline hydroxyapatite material, the amorphous material has higher solubility. With Sr or Mg doped, Sr facilitates formation of new bone, reduces bone resorption, regulates calcium metabolism, and lowers the osteoclastic activity; Mg can affect the early stage of bone growth, and regulate and control growth and reformation of bone. The synthesized amorphous apatite and a crystalized product thereof have a significant role in the fields of bone repair and bone grafting.
