Abstract:
Provided are a stabilizer link wherein the weight and the production cost of the stabilizer link can be reduced, and a method for producing the stabilizer link. A subassembly (100A) as a core element, comprised of a stud ball (101) and a ball sheet (120) is inserted into a mold (60), to define a cavity (70). Subsequently, resin is charged into the cavity (70), to perform an injection molding operation. Such an insert molding causes a housing and a support bar to be integral with each other. When a dust cover (401) is incorporated in the subassembly (100A), it is preferable that a predetermined clearance is formed between the inner surface of the mold (60) and the outer peripheral portion of the ball sheet (120), and that an end portion (61) of the mold (60) is abutted against the outer peripheral portion of an end portion (412) of the dust cover (401). In this respect, the cavity (70) is defined by the inner surface of the mold (60), the outer peripheral portion of the ball sheet (120), and the outer peripheral portion of the end portion (412) of the dust cover (401).
