Abstract:
The present invention relates to a stack-folding-type electrode assembly having improved safety, and a lithium secondary battery comprising the same, wherein a separator for folding and a separator for a unit cell comprise a porous coating layer which includes a mixture of inorganic particles and a binder polymer, and the porous coating layer of one separator from among the separator for folding and the separator for a unit cell uses an organic binder polymer as the binder polymer, and the porous coating layer of the other separator uses a water-based binder polymer as the polymer binder, thereby reducing the volume of the electrode assembly and securing an environment-friendly effect along with safety at the time of nail penetration.
