Abstract:
This saddle-type vehicle comprises: an engine; a manual transmission that gear-shifts and transmits rotation of the engine to a drive wheel; an idle stop control means that applies idle stop control to automatically halt the engine when idle stop conditions are met; and a battery that stores electrical power necessary to start the engine. If the battery voltage of the battery falls to or below a first threshold value while the transmission has automatically halted the engine in gear, a notification means issues a notification prompting a rider to perform an operation to restart the engine. A power control means comprises a power control means that, at least on the condition that the operation to restart the engine has not been confirmed after the notification, switches the power state of the saddle-type vehicle to a first state in which power consumption is lower than when the notification was issued.
