Abstract:
A stageless adjustable telescopic tube assembly with a frictional locking ring has
an inner tube, a outer tube and a locking device, wherein the inner tube and the
outer tube are slidably engaged with each other by nesting. The locking device comprises
a locking ring, a sliding block and an elastic element. The locking ring is a cylindrical
slit ring, which is provided between the inner tube and the outer tube and fixed
relative to the outer tube in an axial direction. On each one end of both sides of
opening of the locking ring are formed two slant grooves, one end of each slant
groove is close to each other, and the other end of each slantgroove is apart from
each other. The sliding block is attached to the outer tube so as to slide relative
to the outer tube. Two guiding pin are provided on the bottom surface of the sliding
block so as to project downward. The two guiding pins are correspondingly engaged
in the respective slant grooves of the locking ring. An elastic element is provided
between a side of the sliding block and the outer tube. The sliding block is moved
toward the end sides apart from each other of the two slant grooves by an elastic
force of the elastic element, so that the locking ring retracts to lock the inner
tube in place. The outer side opposite to the outer tube of the sliding block is
provided with a releasing operation button. The telescopic tube assembly has
advantages of stageless adjustable, easy to use, reliable locking, and wide applicable
range.
