Abstract:
In order to perceive the nature (characteristic) of a skin spot and appropriately evaluate the skin spot, the present invention has a region extraction means for extracting a skin spot region corresponding to a skin spot from a skin image taken of the skin of a subject, and an evaluation means for analyzing at least one of the number of skin spots, the surface area of each skin spot, and the shade of each skin spot on the basis of the skin spot region extracted by the region extraction means and generating information in which a characteristic pertaining to a skin spot in the skin image is quantified using the analysis results.
