Abstract:
Provided are a staple strip that can be accurately conveyed inside a stapler and
a staple cartridge for receiving the staple strip. The staple strip (1a) is formed
by connecting staples (2a) having an elongate linear shape. Portions near the
longitudinal ends of each staple (2a) have a trapezoidal shape tapered toward
the end. On the back side of the portions near the longitudinal ends of each staple
(2a) are provided adhesion sections (31) on which an adhesive agent is applied.
Oval feeding holes (32) are formed at positions away a predetermined distance
from both ends of those sides of adjacent staples (2a) at which they are connected
together. In the adjacent staples (2a), a portion between the two feeding holes
(32) is a slit (33) at which the adjacent staples (2a) are entirely separated.
From longitudinally outer edge of each of the two feeding holes (32) up to the
end of the connected sides of the adjacent staples (2a) is a portion where the staples
(2a) are connected.
