Abstract:
A starter motor (1) is suitably used for a motorbike with a displacement of 200 cc or less, and has a stator (3), and a rotor (5) rotatably mounted in the stator (3). The stator (3) has four field magnets (7) attached thereto. The rotor (5) has an armature core (11) and a commutator (19). The armature core (11) has thirteen slots (18) formed therein. The commutator (19) has two brushes (24) arranged at intervals of 90°. An armature coil (12) is wave-wound in the slot (18), and the starter motor (1) has a four-pole thirteen-slot wave-winding configuration.
