Abstract:
A fuel pump (26) is disposed at a position close to an engine (1) mounted on a two-wheel vehicle, and when an ignition switch is turned on, the fuel pump (26) is operated for a pressure-rising period (Tup) as backup fuel pressure control for recovery of a fuel pressure. After that, when a start switch is turned on, the operation of the fuel pump (26) is restarted while cranking the engine (1). When the ignition switch is turned on, if a cooling water temperature (Tw) of the engine (1) is equal to or greater than a vapor determination value (Tws), vapor is considered to exist in the fuel pump (26). Then, an injector (16) is maintained in an open valve state for a purge period (Tvapor) at the beginning of the backup fuel pressure control in parallel with the operation of the fuel pump (26) so as to discharge the vapor in the fuel pump (26) into an intake port (9a).
