Abstract:
A starting power generating device according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a starting power generator having a field part composed of a permanent magnet, and an armature part in which a first multiphase winding and a second multiphase winding are disposed in parallel; a first power conversion unit that has a first positive-side direct-current terminal connected to a battery and a plurality of first alternating-current terminals connected to the first multiphase winding, and that bi-directionally converts power between direct-current power and alternating-current power; a second power conversion unit that has a plurality of second alternating-current terminals connected to the second multiphase winding, and that controls currents input or output via the second alternating-current terminals; and a control unit that detects the positional relationship between the field section and armature section on the basis of an output voltage of the second multiphase winding, and that controls the first power conversion unit and the second power conversion unit in accordance with the detected positional relationship. In a state where currents that are input or output via the second alternating-current terminals are turned off, the control unit detects the positional relationship when the starting power generator is stopped on the basis of the values of phase voltages of the second multiphase winding detected when a prescribed line voltage is applied by sequentially selecting a plurality of current-carrying patterns determined by a winding group and a voltage application direction in the first multiphase winding, and comparison results of the phase voltages of a plurality of different phases of the second multiphase winding detected when the line voltage is applied using the different current-carrying patterns.
