Abstract:
This state determination device is provided with: a face detection unit (102) which detects the position of a driver's face from a captured image of the interior of a vehicle; a posture determination unit (104) which compares the detected position of the driver's face with a reference point pre-calculated for the driver, and determines that the driver's posture has collapsed if the posture determination unit (104) detects that the displacement (if any) of the driver's face in a preset displacement direction is equal to or greater than a first posture collapse determination value; an image comparison unit (105) which, if it is determined that the driver's posture has collapsed, compares a first region image included in the captured image with a corresponding first region image included in a comparison image to re-determine whether or not the driver's posture has collapsed; and a state determination unit (107) which determines whether or not the driver is in a state in which the driver is incapable of driving, on the basis of the re-determination result.
