Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a technique for accurately estimating changes in the state of an object to be observed. In order to accomplish this purpose, the state prediction method according to the present invention comprises: a step (S100) of acquiring first sensor information that is obtained by observing, at a first time, the state of an object to be observed, by means of a surroundings monitoring sensor; steps (S104, S105) of identifying the type of the object to be observed, on the basis of the first sensor information, and reading, from a purpose attribute storage unit, a purpose attribute of the object to be observed and a purpose attribute of an environmental factor that affects changes in the state of the object to be observed, wherein the purpose attribute storage unit stores the purpose attribute of the object to be observed and the purpose attribute of the environmental factor, and wherein each purpose attribute indicates intended use or intended observation; searching a finite state sequence storage unit, which stores finite state sequences associated with the type of the object to be observed and defining sequences of a plurality of state changes as a function of time, to find a plurality of finite state sequences associated with the type of the object to be observed, and selecting one or more finite state sequences from among the found plurality of finite state sequences on the basis of the purpose attribute of the object to be observed and the purpose attribute of the environmental factor (S108); correcting the selected one or more finite state sequences using observation values of the object to be observed (S119); and a step (S111) of outputting the corrected one or more finite state sequences as a state prediction.
