Abstract:
Provided in the present application are a state selection method and system for finite state entropy encoding, and a storage medium and a device. The method comprises: acquiring a symbol sequence, obtaining normalization probabilities of a plurality of symbols in the symbol sequence, and generating a finite state entropy code table on the basis of the plurality of symbols and the corresponding normalization probabilities, wherein the finite state entropy code table includes several states of each symbol; for each symbol, obtaining a corresponding search bit width on the basis of the normalization probability thereof, obtaining, on the basis of the search bit width, an index value corresponding to each state of each symbol, and generating a truth table of each symbol on the basis of each state and the corresponding index value; and if finite state entropy encoding is performed on the basis of the finite state entropy code table, obtaining a selected index value of the current symbol on the basis of the state of the previous symbol and the search bit width of the current symbol, and searching a truth table of the current symbol for a state corresponding to the selected index value to take same as a state of the current symbol that is used for finite state entropy encoding. By means of the present application, the state selection efficiency is greatly improved.
