Abstract:
The present invention relates to a stator for an axial gap type electric motor which can adopt a non-rare earth magnet in a rotor. A stator for an axial gap type electric motor of the present invention comprises: a stator core including a plurality of teeth, each made of soft magnetic powder (Soft Magnetic Composites (SMC)), and a back yoke interconnected with the plurality of teeth to form a magnetic circuit and formed by stacking a plurality of electrical steel plates; and a coil wound around the outer circumferential surface of each of the plurality of teeth, wherein front end portions of the plurality of teeth are arranged on an upper portion of a body case having a sealed lower space and embedded in a waterproof partition wall to separate the front end portions from the rotor disposed in a fluid flow passage, and a waterproof coating film is formed on the front end portions to block exposure to the fluid flow passage.
