Abstract:
Provided are a stator manufacturing method with which it is possible to increase the space factor of a stator, and a stator. The stator manufacturing method comprises: an insulating paper winding step S120 of winding an insulating paper 30 around a aligned portion Pa of an annular coil bundle P in which a coil 10 is wound at least a plurality of times; and an inserting step S160 of inserting the annular coil bundle P into a slot 21 of the stator 100. The aligned portion Pa is accommodated in the slot 21. The cross-sectional area of the aligned portion Pa perpendicular to an inserting direction of the annular coil bundle P is substantially the same as the cross-sectional area of the slot 21 perpendicular to the axial direction of the stator 100. The length of the aligned portion Pa in a width direction of the annular coil bundle P is greater than an opening width of a slot open 22 of the slot 21.
