In this stator (210) for a rotary electric machine, a second connection coil (240R) comprises an inner connection coil section (242), an outer connection coil section (241), and an axial extension section (244) that connects the outer connection coil section (241) and the inner connection coil section (242). The inner connection coil section (242), the outer connection coil section (241), and the axial extension section (244) are configured from a single conductor.
