Abstract:
This stator (2) has a stator core (5) in which a plurality of teeth (13) protrude radially outwards from a cylindrical yoke (12). Said stator core (5) comprises a plurality of U-shaped core pieces (17), each of which has two radially protruding leg sections (18) and a connecting section (19) that connects said leg sections (18) to each other circumferentially, that are arranged so as to form a cylinder. A cylindrical part (9a) formed on a base (9) is fitted into the abovementioned yoke (12) via a spigot joint so as to install the stator (2) on said base (9). The stator (2) can thus be installed in a vehicle without a separate attachment member being affixed to the stator core (5). This makes it possible to reduce the number of components and the amount of labor required, reducing the cost of manufacturing this stator (2).
