Abstract:
A status-monitoring device (80) for a wind-power generation system is provided with: an orientation sensor (83) installed in a nacelle (90), the orientation sensor (83) detecting the orientation of the nacelle (90); and a status-monitoring unit (200) for receiving output from the orientation sensor (83) and recording, analyzing, and/or transmitting signals. The status-monitoring unit (200) preferably detects, on the basis of the output from the orientation sensor (83), turning of the nacelle (90) that accompanies torsional vibration of a tower (100). The orientation sensor (83) can also detect slow directional fluctuations which would be difficult to detect with an acceleration sensor or the like, and turning of the nacelle (90) that accompanies torsional vibration of the tower (100) can therefore be satisfactorily detected.
