Abstract:
A steam cooker has a steam producing device for producing steam, a steam temperature raising device for raising the temperature of the steam from the steam producing device, and a heating chamber for heating an object to be heated by the steam supplied from the steam temperature raising device. The steam producing device has a pot (41) into which water is supplied, a heater (42) placed in the pot (41), and a water level sensor (43) and a temperature sensor (48) that are placed in the pot (41). The water level sensor (43) and the temperature sensor (48) are placed on opposite side surfaces in the pod (41), on the shorter sides of an elongate rectangular shape of the pod (41). The state of exposure of the heater (42) from the water in the pot (41) is determined by the water level sensor (43) and the temperature sensor (48).
