Abstract:
The invention proceeds from a steam cooker (12) having a muffle (16), which bounds a cooking space (14), and having a steam generator (22), which has an evaporator unit (32) and a cooking-space-drainage means (54). In order to provide for improved properties relating to ease of use, it is proposed that the cooking-space-drainage means (54) has an actively closable valve unit (58) which, in at least one operating state, holds back a liquid.
