Abstract:
A steam electric iron includes a soleplate provided with a heating device, a water tank provided on the soleplate and a handle connected with the soleplate. A steam chamber is provided between the soleplate and the water tank, and a water outlet which is communicated with the steam chamber is provided on the water tank. The handle is provided with an electronic plate for controlling operation of the heating device. The water outlet is provided with a floodgate switch which is controlled by a switch controller to be opened or closed. The handle is provided with a sensor for determining the use state of the iron and a placement state detector for determining the placement state of the iron. Signal output ends of the sensor and the placement state detector are connected with signal input ends of the electronic plate, and a signal output end of the latter controls action of the switch controller. The use state of the iron can be determined accurately and the steam is automatically controlled to be discharged or shut off, the iron is easy to operate and has a special function for continuously discharging steam in its upright station so that the clothes can be ironed by steam in hanging. The problem of water leakage by steam associated with prior electric irons is completely resolved and thus the clothes is prevented from being scorched.
