Abstract:

A steam generator configured so as to discharge, by the principle of siphoning and via a discharge port (37) and a discharge passage (30), water stored in a water storage chamber (19). The steam generator comprises: the water storage chamber (19) that stores water; a steam generating heater (40) that heats the water inside the water storage chamber (19); a water supply pump (28) that sends water in a water supply tank (29) through a water supply port (36) provided in the water storage chamber (19), and a water supply passage (27) ; and the discharge passage (30) that discharges water and is formed by a U-shaped first discharge passage (25) that projects downwards through the discharge port (37) provided in the water storage chamber (19), and an inverted-U-shaped second discharge passage (35) that projects upwards. The first discharge passage (25) is non-metallic.
