Abstract:

Provided is a simple steam sterilization indicator pack that increases the reliability of Bowie-Dick test results, can be miniaturized, and for which handling is improved. Provided is a pack that accommodates a sterilization confirmation indicator part (24) that comprises steam transmitting adjustment layers (20, 20) arranged so as to sandwich a sterilization confirmation indicator sheet (22) formed having on one surface thereof a pattern that colors or changes color due to steam, and the sterilization confirmation indicator part is formed by stacking a plurality of steam transmitting adjustment sheets (18) so that the total thickness of the two adjustment layers is 5-25mm, and the sterilization confirmation indicator part is accommodated in a paper container (12) that passes more steam than the steam transmitting adjustment layers (20), wherein the pack is characterized by using steam transmitting adjustment sheets (18) that have at least a density of 0.75g/cm3 so that in a case where steam is introduced and maintained at 134°C for 3.5 minutes in an autoclave into which the pack was placed, and when residual air remains in the autoclave, portions of the pattern of the sterilization confirmation indicator sheet (22) that finished changing color and portions that don't change color can be differentiated with the naked eye.
