Abstract:
A steam turbine system (1) is provided with: a steam turbine (10) comprising a casing (11) into which steam is transferred from the exterior and a rotating shaft (15) provided so as to be capable of rotation around a central axis (Ac) within the casing (11); a deaerator (50) connected to the steam turbine (10) and used to deaerate leaked steam that has leaked to the exterior of the casing (11) from a gap between the casing (11) and the rotating shaft (15); and a vacuum pump (60) that is connected to the deaerator (50) and that reduces the pressure within the deaerator (50).
