A steam turbine (1) is provided with: a rotor shaft (2); a casing (4) provided so as to cover the rotor shaft (2), and including a shaft penetration portion (11) through which the rotor shaft (2) passes; and a casing support (30) which supports the casing (4) by extending axially further toward the inside of the casing (4) than the outer surface (4a), of the casing (4), at the peripheral edge of the shaft penetration portion (11).
