Abstract:
A steel bar head upsetting process and a steel bar upsetting machine therefor. A clamping mold has a clamping cavity that may be opened and closed; an upsetting mold has a molding cavity provided with a fixed closed cavity structure; in a state in which the clamping mold opens the clamping cavity, a steel bar to be upset interpenetrates the clamping cavity and the molding cavity of the upsetting mold, and the clamping mold closes the clamping cavity and clamps and fixes same on a clamping section of the steel bar; and an upsetting power apparatus starts to perform an upsetting operation by means of an upsetting head (4) mounted on a piston, and enables the upsetting head (4) to extend into the molding cavity so as to upset and deform the head of an upsetting steel bar in the molding cavity and form an upsetting section, thus completing an upsetting action. The steel bar upsetting machine and the upsetting process may precisely control the upsetting diameter and section shape of a steel bar, thus improving the quality and efficiency of upsetting a steel bar head.
