Abstract:
A steel for carburizing which has excellent low-cycle fatigue strength and grain coarsening resistance, and a carburized component are provided. This carburizing steel contains, in mass%, C: 0.15-0.25%, Si: greater than 0% and less than or equal to 0.15%, Mn: 1.5-2.0%, P: greater than 0% and less than or equal to 0.03%, S: greater than 0% and less than or equal to 0.02%, Cr: 0.9-1.2%, Al: greater than 0.06% and less than or equal to 0.10%, Ti: 0.05-0.10%, Nb: 0.004-0.015%, B: 0.001-0.005%, and N: 0.002-0.008%, the remainder being iron and unavoidable impurities.
