Abstract:
The present invention provides a steel foil for battery containers, the steel foil being characterized in that: the maximum value of the maximum principal strain of a uniaxial deformation is 0.25 or more; and the maximum value of the maximum principal strain of a planar strain deformation is 0.1 or more. The present invention is able to provide a steel foil for battery containers, the steel foil being capable of suppressing a crack of a base material if subjected to a harsh molding process for battery containers.
