Abstract:
In the present invention, a steel for a crude oil tank has a chemical composition containing, by mass, 0.03-0.20% of C, 0.05-0.50% of Si, 0.60-2.00% of Mn, 0.030% or less of P, 0.030% or less of S, 0.001-0.050% of Al, and 0.001-0.010% of N, and additionally containing one or more elements selected from 0.01-0.60% of Cu, 0.01-0.20% of Mo, 0.01-0.20% of W, 0.01-0.20% of Sn, and 0.01-0.20% of Sb, with the remainder being Fe and impurities. [Cu+6×Mo+2×W+0.5×Sn+0.5×Sb] is 0.50 or above. In the metal structure in a cross-section parallel to the thickness direction and the rolling direction, the total area ratio of bainite and/or acicular ferrite is 20-95% and the area ratio of martensite is 2.0% or less, and the Vickers hardness is 210 HV10 or less.
