Abstract:
Provided is a steel material for welded structure, said steel material having a composition which contains, in mass%, 0.02 to less than 0.14% of C, 0.05 to 2.0% of Si, 0.2 to 2.0% of Mn, 0.005 to 0.03% of P, 0.0001 to 0.02% of S, 0.001 to 0.1% of Al, 0.1 to 1.0% of Cu and 0.1 to 1.0% of Ni, and contains 0.004 to 0.2% of Nb and/or 0.001 to 0.2% of Sn, with the contents of Cu, Ni and Sn satisfying a prescribed relationship and the balance consisting of Fe and unavoidable impurities. This steel material for welded structure exhibits excellent atmospheric corrosion resistance, and can be suitably used in an outdoor steel structure such as a bridge, particularly in a member which is required to be resistant to atmospheric corrosion under a highly saline environment, for example, in the vicinity of a seashore.
