Abstract:
A steel pipe pile which is, when installed in the ground, supported by a sufficient support force without adversely affecting the ground which surrounds the pile. A steel pipe pile having: a first steel pipe pile (102 (104)) having a hollow first steel pipe (112) and a first helical blade (114) which extends from one end to the other end of the first steel pipe and is helically wound at equal pitch around the outer periphery of the first steel pipe by at least one or more turns; and a second steel pipe pile (104) provided with a hollow second steel pipe (112) and a second helical blade (114) which extends from one end to the other end of the second steel pipe and is helically wound at equal pitch by at least one or more turns around the outer periphery of the second steel pipe, the second steel pipe pile (104) being connected at said end thereof to the other end of the first steel pile. The pitch of the first helical blade and the pitch of the second helical blade are the same, and at the portion of connection between the first steel pipe pile and the second steel pipe pile, the first helical blade and the second helical blade are continuous on an imaginary helix.
